Death by Chocolate

DeathbyChocolatetPost

Whether five or twenty-five, I will always love the divine mix of chocolate pudding, crushed Oreos, and gummy worms… the glorious dessert also know as Dirt Pudding! That’s why this Halloween at the office I am serving up a festive version of this classic recipe with a few of my own tweaks. I appropriately call it “Death by Chocolate”! It is extra chocolate-y (as I’m sure you have guessed) and decorated like a delectable ghoulish graveyard for effect. You can make this recipe in individual portions or as one big serving for ghouls and boys to dig into. And no tricks here, just treats with my stamp of approval!

Ingredients:

  • Cool Whip
  • Oreo cookies
  • Milano cookies
  • Pre-made brownie sheets
  • Gummy body parts and other festive candy (candy corn, candy pumpkins, etc.)
  • Instant Pudding
  • Melting chocolate or edible color marker

How to Make:
1. Prepare Instant pudding
2. Cut pudding in half and add cool whip to one half
3. Crush Oreo cookies
4. Once ready, in a large bowl, put down a layer of instant pudding
5. Add a layer of crushed Oreo
6. Add a layer of cool whip/pudding mixture
7. Cube brownies and add a layer
8. Repeat steps 4-7
9. End with a layer of pudding
10. Melt chocolate and write RIP on Milano cookies with a piping bag
11. Place Milano cookies vertically in pudding to make tomb stones
12. Put piles of “dirt” (crushed oreo) in front of each tomb stone
13. Scatter gummy body parts around and sticking out of the dirt piles

Now go eat that “Death by Chocolate” in S~T~Y~L~E…check out these charm necklaces!
